Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to support the finance team in maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring tax compliance, managing inventory accounting, and preparing financial reports. The ideal candidate should have strong accounting knowledge and the ability to coordinate effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate accounting records, general ledger, and bookkeeping activities.
Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and management reports.
Manage VAT, TDS, and other tax-related accounting in compliance with Nepalese tax laws.
Prepare financial forecasts, cash flow reports, and cost control analyses.
Reconcile bank accounts, ledgers, and other financial records.
Maintain inventory accounting records and perform stock reconciliations.
Coordinate with suppliers, customers, and clients regarding financial transactions and payments.
Collaborate with internal departments to ensure smooth financial operations.
Operate and maintain computerized accounting software and financial databases.
Supervise and guide accounting staff to ensure accuracy and efficiency.
Assist in audits and ensure compliance with company policies and statutory requirements.
Perform other finance and accounting duties as assigned by management.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 4 years

Other Specification

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Minimum 4 years of experience in accounting or finance.
Strong knowledge of Nepalese taxation, including VAT, TDS, and other statutory requirements.
Good understanding of bookkeeping, financial reporting, and inventory accounting.
Proficiency in computerized accounting software (e.g., Tally, Swastik, QuickBooks, or similar ERP systems).
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and data handling.
Ability to reconcile bank accounts and maintain accurate financial records.
Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
Good communication and coordination skills.
Ability to work independently and supervise junior accounting staff when required.
