  • Relevant experience at a law firm or as a corporate counsel focusing on compliance issues will be an added advantage

  • An analytical mind able to comprehend the complexities of procedures and regulations 
  • Well-versed with all compliance as well as reporting requirements and procedures 
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills 
  • Proactive with result-oriented approach

Job Description

  • Develop, implement, maintain, and monitor the compliance activities of the company. Also ensure that each department of the company adheres to the applicable legal standards and in-house policies
  • Manage the company’s risk framework and internal audit process, oversee the complete review of contracts and legal requirements in order to promote a strong compliance culture
  • Develop and oversee control systems to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies. Revise the procedures periodically to identify hidden risks or non- conformity issues
  • Conduct legal compliance audit and review on a periodic basis to ensure execution of compliance standards in the company
  • Prepare financial reports for internal management as well as external regulatory bodies as appropriate
  • Advise the senior management to formulate policies and procedures within the local legal framework
  • Evaluate and assess current as well as future compliance regulation needs and ensure that all legal regulations are followed and met
  • Be responsible for implementing regulations in all aspects and levels of business as well as provide guidance on compliance matters
  • Collaborate with corporate counsels and HR department to monitor implementation of standards and regulations. Liaise with HR department to ensure appropriate disciplinary action is taken against compliance violation
  • Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and provide advice or training to educate them about the importance of compliance procedures and policies
  • Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control
