Job Description

We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Legal Administrative Assistant to join our team.

The successful candidate will provide comprehensive administrative support to the lawyers, ensuring
the smooth operation of the firm. This role involves a combination of administrative duties and legal
tasks, similar to those of a paralegal, aimed at supporting attorneys in delivering high-quality services to
our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and organize the lawyer’s calendar, schedule appointments, and coordinate meetings.
  • Handle incoming and outgoing communications, including emails, phone calls, and mail.
  • Prepare and draft correspondence, legal documents, and reports.
  • Maintain and organize client files, both electronic and physical.
  • Conduct general office duties such as filing, copying, and data entry.
  • Assist in the preparation and review of legal documents, including pleadings, motions, contracts, and agreements.
  • Conduct legal research and gather relevant information for cases.
  • Assist in trial preparation, including organizing exhibits, preparing witness lists, and drafting trial
  • binders.
  • Serve as a point of contact for clients, providing information and updates on their cases.
  • Schedule and coordinate client meetings and consultations.
  • Ensure client confidentiality and handle sensitive information with discretion.

Qualifications:

  • Associate’s degree in paralegal studies, legal assistant studies, or a related field preferred.
  • Certification from an accredited paralegal program is a plus.
  • Previous experience as a legal assistant or paralegal in a law firm or corporate legal department.
  • Familiarity with legal terminology, procedures, and documentation.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint) and legal research software.
