About the organization
Founded in 2015, UWS Nepal is a pioneering organisation dedicated to revolutionising education in Nepal’s most remote and climate-vulnerable communities. We go beyond providing quality education—we build it from the ground up. From constructing earthquake- resistant schools and ensuring access to clean water and sanitation to delivering inclusive and quality education, we address every barrier to learning.
Our mission is to break geographical, cultural, and climate barriers, striving for Zero Education Poverty by empowering children to learn, thrive, and lead. Through local teachers, mothers’ groups, and partnerships with the local government, we ensure every child stays in school despite the barriers of remoteness, poverty, and adversity.
We don’t just build schools; we build resilience. By integrating climate education and eco-friendly practices, we prepare communities to adapt and thrive in the face of climate adversity shaping a generation ready to create a sustainable, climate-resilient future.
