Role Purpose

The Lead Conversion & Tele-Sales Team Associate will be responsible for converting existing leads and customer data into active customers through structured outbound calling, follow-ups and relationship building.

The role will manage a small team of tele-sales/call centre representatives, ensure daily calling targets are achieved, monitor conversion performance, improve calling scripts and processes, and work closely with pharmacy and operations teams to ensure a smooth customer conversion journey.

The position requires a strong sales mindset, excellent communication skills, discipline in follow-up, and the ability to lead and motivate a small team.

A pharmacy background is not mandatory, but knowledge of pharmacy, medicines, healthcare or FMCG will be an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities

1. Lead Conversion & Outbound Calling

Make outbound calls to existing leads and customers using Pharma Life's available customer database.
Understand customer needs and identify opportunities for medicine purchases, refills, online orders and other relevant Pharma Life services.
Convert qualified leads into active customers and generate repeat orders.
Conduct systematic follow-ups with customers who have shown interest but have not yet converted.
Maintain accurate records of calls, outcomes, follow-ups and conversions.
Identify high-potential customers and prioritize them for follow-up.

2. Team Leadership

Lead and supervise a small team of tele-sales/call centre representatives.
Allocate daily calling lists and targets to team members.
Monitor individual and team-level performance.
Conduct daily briefings and review calling performance.
Coach team members on communication, objection handling, product/service knowledge and closing techniques.
Support team members in difficult customer conversations and high-value leads.
Motivate the team to consistently achieve calling and conversion targets.

3. Customer Conversion

Develop effective approaches to convert leads into:
First-time customers
Medicine refill customers
Regular online-order customers
Chronic medicine customers
Repeat customers
Understand reasons for non-conversion and develop strategies to address them.
Build customer trust through professional and informative communication.
Ensure customers receive accurate information regarding products, ordering, delivery and payment processes.

4. Calling Process & Script Development

Develop and continuously improve cold-calling and follow-up scripts.
Establish standard calling and follow-up procedures.
Test different approaches to improve conversion rates.
Maintain a structured follow-up cycle for interested and inactive leads.
Identify common customer objections and develop appropriate responses.

5. Performance Monitoring & Reporting

Track and report key performance indicators including:

Number of calls made
Calls connected
Leads contacted
Interested leads
Follow-ups scheduled
Orders generated
New customers acquired
Repeat orders generated
Conversion rate
Average order value
Sales generated per caller
Team productivity
Prepare daily/weekly performance reports for management.

6. Coordination With Operations

Coordinate with pharmacy branches, online services, warehouse and delivery teams to ensure converted orders are processed smoothly.
Escalate stock, pricing, billing or delivery issues affecting customer conversion.
Provide feedback to management regarding customer requirements and recurring issues.
Ensure customer commitments made during calls can be fulfilled operationally.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Business administration, Management, Marketing, Pharmacy, Healthcare Management or a related field preferred.
Candidates with strong relevant sales experience may also be considered.
2–4 years of experience in tele-sales, inside sales, customer acquisition, call centre, business development or related roles.
Experience managing or supervising a small sales/call centre team will be preferred.
Experience in pharmacy, healthcare, FMCG, retail or e-commerce will be an advantage.

Knowledge of medicines/pharmacy services
Understanding of chronic medicine/refill customers
Experience with CRM or call-centre software
Experience developing sales scripts
Nepali and English communication skills; additional local languages are an advantage

Ideal Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate is not necessarily a pharmacist. Pharma Life is looking for someone who:

Enjoys speaking with customers and selling.
Is comfortable making a high volume of outbound calls.
Can turn a conversation into an actual order.
Understands that follow-up is as important as the first call.
Can identify which leads are worth pursuing.
Is comfortable working with targets and numbers.
Can train and motivate a small team.
Takes ownership of results rather than simply completing assigned calls.
Is willing to learn pharmacy and healthcare products/services.

Important: Pharmacy background is beneficial but not mandatory. Strong sales ability, communication, customer conversion skills and team leadership capability will be given greater importance.
