Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

Arrange page elements for advertisments, web pages and magazines
Ensuring that page elements including imags and txt work togethr on ach page and create a clear flow of information
Make decisions about text sizes, style and fonts including text spacing and arrangement
Able to modify pag graphics in order to improvee the overall look and flow of the publication. Also ensuring that all the graphics do not overshadow th txt or vic versa
Carefully check page proofs to eliminate errors and make sure that the design looks right before sending it to the press
Completes projects by coordinating with outside agencies, art services, printers, etc
Incorporate changes recommended by the clients into the final design
Professionalism regarding time, costs and deadlines
Think creatively and develop new design concepts, graphics and layouts

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Other Specification

Bachelors degree in the related field
At least two years experience in the related field
Passion and enthusiasm for design, with a creative flair
Good presentation skills and the confidence to explain and sell ideas to clients and colleagues
Accuracy and attention to detail when finalizing designs and the ability to cope with several projects at a time
Being open to feedback and willing to make changes to your designs

Skills:

Composition Skills: An eye for composition is one of the key skills in this role, as layout designers need to ensure that page elements are balanced and work with one another to guide the reader
Typography Skills: This role also requires a strong grasp of typography principles and a keen understanding of how font sizes and styles affect the way readers engage with information
Image and Text Editing: In many cases, layout designers need to edit captions, adjust photos, or alter the text to make these elements fit the page, so they should be able to effectively make changes to page content
Communication Skills: Because layout designers frequently work with artists and editors, they should be able to effectively communicate ideas, questions, and suggestions

Indesign /Freehand/Communication design/Photoshop/Graphic design/Adobe Illustrator
