Our activities are underpinned by the principles of gender equality, sustainable development practices, social justice and upholding human rights of local communities and indigenous people.

  • Masters in Environmental studies or equivalent.
  • Experience in Climate change and LAPA
  • Professional experience in using participatory approaches in remote communities.
  • Highly organized with excellent project management skills. 
  • Knowledge of climate change adaptation, ecosystem-based adaptation, disaster risk reduction, climate resilience, and related fields.
  • The ability to use GIS and remote sensing for environment statistics and planning is desirable.

Job Description

  • Facilitating the LAPA (Local Adaptation Plan of Action) formulation for Helambu Rural Municipality. And to integrate components of DRR and climate change into the local adaptation plan.
  • Advocacy work on behalf of the climate vulnerable peoples in Helambu at the local, national and international level and demand for what is right and just for the victims to climate change in Helambu. 
  • Co-ordinating all field level Project activities including managing people and stakeholder relationship.
  • Supporting staff in planning, designing, budgeting, implementing, and monitoring climate change adaptation and resilience interventions.
  • Supporting the policy and program formulation work (annual and periodic plans) of the Helambu Rural Municipality.
  • Advisory support to the Local Government on issues relating to Climate Change Adaption, Resilience and Climate Justice.
  • And any other relevant work as required by the Project.
