Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a dedicated IT Officer to join our team at Laxmi Steels - Saurabh Group. The IT Officer will play a critical role in managing and supporting IT solutions across the organization. Responsibilities include providing software-based system support, implementing secure systems, assisting with basic ERP functionality, and leveraging programming skills to optimize IT operations.

Key Responsibilities:

Software-Based System Support:

Plan and implement modifications to software infrastructure.
Ensure network security and disaster recovery measures are in place.
Provide expert troubleshooting support and manage system backups.

IT Support & Systems Management:

Manage telephone systems, WiFi access, and office software installations.
Oversee user credentials, OS installations, and software patching/updating.

Programming & Development:

Utilize programming skills in PHP and JavaScript to develop and enhance IT systems.
Solve technical challenges through custom software solutions.

ERP Support:

Assist in implementing and managing basic ERP system functionality.
Educate and train employees to adapt to these systems.

System Backup & Data Control:

Perform regular system backups and ensure essential data availability.
Maintain control of critical organizational data across business units.

Cost Control & Equipment Support:

Train employees on efficient IT resource utilization.
Provide guidance on IT equipment management (e.g., computers, software, printers).

Assets & Software Management:

Manage vendor relationships for software procurement.
Ensure IT assets are responsibly maintained.

Management & Reporting:

Identify opportunities to improve IT processes and recommend software-based solutions.
Prepare and present MIS reports to management.

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than or equal to 1 year

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of PHP and JavaScript programming.
Basic understanding of ERP systems and functionality.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving abilities.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Experience in secure IT infrastructure, network security, and system backups is a plus.
Experience with AI projects is a plus.
