Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Financial Analyst to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for financial planning, analysis, reporting, and supporting strategic business decisions through accurate financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:

Industry/Market Research

Identify and research private companies across targeted industries
Build and maintain databases of targeted industries
Track industry trends, competitive landscapes, and emerging sectors
Monitor relevant news, transactions, and market developments

Financial Modeling & Analysis

Analyze financial statements (income statement, balance sheet, cash flow)
Building and updating financial models (statements, valuation models)
Evaluate business/industry performance, growth drivers, and risk factors

Reporting & Documentation

Prepare detailed research reports and screening notes
Present research findings and analytical insights to team members/clients
Create investor-ready decks and presentations

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:Less than 2 years

Other Specification

Educational Qualification

Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Economics/Accounting/Business Administration, or a related field
Strong academic record preferred
Relevant certifications (are a plus but not required)

Experience Requirements

0-2 years of relevant experience
Exposure to financial modeling, valuation, or industry research
Internship or project experience in equity research, consulting, private equity, or financial advisory preferred

Technical Competencies

Strong understanding of financial statements and basic valuation methods
Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, data analysis)
Proficiency in PowerPoint for creating professional presentations
Ability to conduct structured industry and company research
Strong report writing and documentation skills

Analytical & Cognitive Skills

Strong quantitative and analytical ability
Ability to interpret financial and operational data
Critical thinking and problem-solving mindset
High attention to detail and accuracy
Ability to synthesize large amounts of information into concise insights
