We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Finance & Accounts Officer to join our investment and portfolio management team. The role involves evaluating businesses for investment readiness, preparing financial models, supporting credit arrangements, and overseeing accounting and compliance for multiple organizations.

This position is ideal for professionals with experience in banking, SME advisory, financial consulting, or corporate finance who can manage multiple stakeholders and deliver high-quality financial insights.

Key Responsibilities:

Portfolio Screening & Due Diligence:

Conduct financial screening of prospective investee organizations by reviewing historical financials, profitability, and cash flow trends.
Assess legal and tax compliance status, including VAT, income tax, TDS, and outstanding liabilities.
Evaluate business scalability and operational feasibility, and prepare structured investment recommendation reports.

Financial Planning & Analysis:

Prepare detailed multi-year financial projections, profitability plans, and business feasibility analyses for investee organizations.
Perform scenario and sensitivity analysis to stress-test financial assumptions.
Monitor budget vs. actual performance and provide actionable variance analysis to management.

Credit Facility & Banking:

Assess funded and non-funded credit requirements — working capital loans, term loans, bank guarantees, and letters of credit.
Prepare credit notes, project reports, and CMA data for bank and financial institution submissions.
Approach and coordinate with banks and financial institutions throughout the credit appraisal and disbursement process.
Advise investee organizations on trade finance instruments, including LCs and LGs.

Accounts & Compliance Oversight:

Oversee day-to-day accounting operations and ensure the timely preparation of financial statements for assigned portfolio organizations.
Ensure compliance with VAT, income tax, TDS, and advance tax filing obligations.
Coordinate with external auditors and tax consultants as required.
Support investee organizations in strengthening internal financial controls and accounting practices.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Commerce
Semi-qualified CA / ACCA preferred
2–4 years of experience in finance, accounting, or financial consulting
Experience with SMEs, banking, or investment advisory is highly preferred
Knowledge of Nepal Rastra Bank regulations is an advantage

Skills Required:

Financial modeling and forecasting
Investment appraisal & feasibility analysis
Accounting & financial reporting (NFRS/IFRS knowledge preferred)
Taxation (VAT, Income Tax, TDS)
Credit proposal & CMA preparation
Trade finance (LC, LG, working capital structuring)
Advanced MS Excel skills
Accounting software proficiency
