Roles and responsibilities of this job

The Inventory Officer is responsible for managing, monitoring, and controlling the organization’s inventory to ensure accurate stock records, optimal stock levels, and timely availability of materials. The role supports efficient operations by preventing stock shortages, overstocking, and inventory losses.

Key Responsibilities:

Maintain accurate records of all inventory transactions, including receipts, issues, and balances
Monitor stock levels and initiate replenishment requests when required
Conduct regular stock counts and reconcile physical stock with system records
Investigate and report inventory discrepancies, losses, or damages
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of inventory items
Prepare inventory reports, stock status updates, and valuation reports
Coordinate with procurement, warehouse, and finance departments
Ensure compliance with company policies and inventory control procedures
Support audits by providing inventory documentation and explanations
Implement and recommend improvements to inventory management processes

Additional Requirements:

Willingness to work flexible hours if needed.
Physically fit to handle manual inventory tasks when required.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Education Level:

Minimum Bachelor’s degree in relevant field.
Additional training or certification in inventory management or logistics is an advantage.

Experience Required:

1–3 years of experience in inventory handling, stock management, storekeeping, or warehouse operations.
Experience in FMCG, retail, cosmetics, or pharmaceuticals preferred.

Technical Skills:

Knowledge of inventory control systems, stock management software, or ERP.
Proficiency in MS Office (Excel, Word) and Google Suite.
Ability to maintain accurate stock records and documentation.
Understanding of FIFO/FEFO, stock rotation, and shelf-life management.
