  • 1 year proven technical WASH experience in the field especially in the promotion of Latrine Construction using PHAST/ CLTS approaches.
  • Proven experience of community mobilization/sensitization & managing a hygiene promotion program.
  • Proven experience in management (team management, supervision, activity planning)
  • Proven experience organizing meeting, hygiene promotion campaigns and as well as training.
  • Proven experience in conducting surveys as well as analysis of data’s.
  • Experience in construction and management of construction will be an asset.
  • Ability to communicate with people in local language and familiarity place of work is very advantageous
  • Medium in English (written/verbal)
  • Team management, organizational capacity and activity planning
  • Ability to analyse and synthesize

Job Description

Plan and coordinate the implementation of the Hygiene Promotional activities:

  • Ensure implementation of the CLTS latrine construction activities as defined by his/her supervisor.
  • Assist in defining the approach and presenting the activities with local stakeholders
  • Understand context and propose improvement and/or new activities to reach objectives.
  • Plan the weekly activities of the sanitation team and ensure that they are conducted according to schedule

Participate in Monitoring and Supervision of the project activities:

  • Regularly monitor the latrine construction and CLTS activities and WASH Volunteers at field level.
  • Ensure volunteers capacity building for session facilitation
  • Organizing the various day observations with participative activities

Conducting and follow up CLTS session, WASH Committee and beneficiaries capacity building activities:

  • Regular follow up and leading of sanitation activities at field level ;
  • Conduct training and monitoring for Water User Committee and beneficiaries.
  • Assist the transport of stocks and materials to the field and ensure their correct use

Strengthening Ownership through Advocacy and Partnerships:

  • Defining the approach with local stakeholders, other organizations and LGIs.
  • Develop an approach that create community demand and change community behaviours.
  • Ensure communication is open between communities and ACF staffs and that feedback from people is reported to Project Officer.

Efficient management of the field stock activities:

  • Proper documentation of the received and delivered materials in the field level
  • Ensure the quality of the materials in the field level or in the base level (if needed)
  • Ensure steps of stock management as per the ACF policy including physical inventory when needed.
