Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are looking for an experienced Hydropower Engineer to support the development and execution of hydropower and water conservancy projects in Nepal. The role involves technical research, bidding support, project planning, and coordination with stakeholders throughout the project lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities

Participated in the preliminary technical research and project tracking of hydropower projects in Nepal, and conducted the collection and analysis of technical materials.
Participated in the bidding work of hydropower projects, including the formulation of technical schemes, engineering quantity analysis and preparation of technical documents.
Participated in project feasibility studies, technical scheme comparison and selection, and design optimization.
Responsible for technical communication and coordination with owners, design institutes and technical consultants.
Conducted research and evaluation on the technical schemes of the main structures of hydropower projects.
Provided technical support during the project development phase and supplied technical basis for commercial negotiations and project decision-making.
Participated in the technical management during the project implementation phase after project launch.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Required Age:Less than 38 years

Other Specification

Bachelor’s degree or above in Civil Engineering, Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering, Hydraulic Structure, or related fields.
At least 5 years of relevant work experience in hydropower or water conservancy projects, with experience in hydropower engineering design, construction or project technical management.
Familiar with the main structures and construction technologies of hydropower projects, with a certain understanding of water diversion tunnels, underground powerhouses, pressure pipelines and other structures.
Candidates with experience in hydropower project bidding or technical proposal preparation are preferred.
Strong technical analysis and scheme research capabilities.
Fluent English, able to use English as a working language.
Under 38 years of age.
