Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Structural Engineer to strengthen our engineering team and contribute to the successful delivery of ongoing and upcoming projects.

Scope of work

Carry out structural design and analysis of hydropower components in accordance with relevant codes and standards used in Nepal.
Prepare and review structural drawings, reinforcement detailing, design reports, and calculation sheets to ensure technical accuracy and constructability
Ensure assigned tasks are completed within the scheduled time-frame while maintaining compliance with technical standards and project specifications.
Coordinate with hydrology, geotechnical, hydraulic, and mechanical teams to develop integrated structural solutions suitable for the site.
Coordinate and communicate effectively with team members to ensure smooth workflow and timely completion of tasks.
Review contractor submittals, as-built drawings, and design modifications, and provide timely technical decisions.
Report work progress and task status regularly to the Supervisor.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than 5 years

Other Specification

Master's in structural/Earthquake engineering/ Equivalent Qualification from a reputed University/ College.
Minimum 5-7 years of work experience in Hydropower Project as a structural Engineer.

Professional skill required

Proficient in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, finite element software like SAP2000, Staad Pro. Microsoft Word and Excel etc.
Excellent team collaboration abilities with effective communication skills.
Capable of handling multiple assignments simultaneously and performing efficiently under demanding work conditions and tight deadlines.
