SELECTION CRITERIA

  Essential

  • Knowledge of Job Analysis processes and their application to the development of Job Descriptions.
  • Knowledge of modern Human Resources related practices and principles including, performance management, recruitment and training and development.
  • Knowledge of the Labour Act and all associated legislation that directly impacts the duties and accountabilities of the positions.
  • High standard of written English communication as characterised by the production of quality operational documents and concise HR policies and procedures.
  • Interpersonal communication and interviewing skills associated with conducting effective recruitment screening, job and needs analysis, interviews and performance appraisals.

   Desirable

  • Demonstrated practical experience working in the Human Resources Industry or Organisational Development.
  • Demonstrated practical experience providing HR services within the public health service arena.

Job Description

  • Responsible for assisting the Human Resources Department in conducting job analysis of all positions associated with Tilganga Institute of Ophthalmology for the purpose of updating operational documentation
  • Should work under the direction of the HR Coordinator, conduct comprehensive job analysis of all positions within TIO organisational structure for the purpose of developing agreed position descriptions for all posts within the organisation
  • Assist the HR Coordinator in the mapping and maintenance of TIO's organisational structure
  • Contribute to the improvement of TIO's HR related policies and procedures and the subsequent development of the draft HR policy and procedure manual
  • Develop or update job profiles and interview questions where appropriate.
