Job Overview

The HR Manager will ensure recruitment, employee relations, compliance with local regulations, talent management, and workforce development, aligned with the company’s operational and strategic goals. This role demands comprehensive knowledge of Nepalese labor laws, pharmaceutical industry regulations, and the ability to foster a productive work culture.

Key Responsibilities

Recruitment & Staffing

  • Oversee the recruitment process, ensuring that qualified candidates are selected for various departmental roles.
  • Build partnerships with local universities, recruitment agencies, and industry-specific talent pools to attract skilled workers.
  • Facilitate smooth onboarding and induction processes, ensuring new employees are familiar with company policies, health & safety protocols, and industry-specific practices.

Employee Relations & Engagement

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for employee concerns, grievances, and disputes, providing effective and timely resolutions.
  • Foster a positive and inclusive work environment through employee engagement initiatives and open communication channels between management and staff.
  • Work alongside management to implement strategies that enhance employee morale, satisfaction, and retention.

Compliance & Regulatory Adherence

  • Ensure adherence to Nepalese labor laws, including the Labor Act of Nepal, health and safety regulations, and pharmaceutical industry standards.
  • Monitor compliance with legal obligations related to employee contracts, overtime, leave entitlements, and social security benefits.
  • Stay updated with any changes to Nepal’s employment laws, ensuring HR practices remain compliant and aligned with industry regulations.

Training & Development

  • Identify training needs across departments and develop programs to enhance employee skills.
  • Collaborate with industry experts to organize certifications or specialized training, ensuring compliance within the pharmaceutical sector.
  • Establish leadership development programs to nurture potential leaders and enhance management capabilities.

Performance Management

  • Manage the performance appraisal system to ensure that goals align with the company’s business objectives and regulatory requirements.
  • Provide guidance on performance management, employee development, and coaching.
  • Offer constructive feedback and support for underperforming employees, ensuring improvement plans are in place.

Strategic HR Planning

  • Collaborate with senior leadership to align HR strategy with business goals, workforce needs, and market conditions.
  • Develop workforce planning strategies to support both short-term and long-term company goals.
  • Participate in organizational development initiatives to drive operational excellence and continuous improvement.

Skills & Qualifications

  • Education: Minimum Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
  • Candidates with a BA LLB degree are also highly encouraged to apply
  • Experience: Minimum 5-7 years of experience in HR management, preferably in the pharmaceutical or manufacturing industry.
