Job Description

We seek a proactive and knowledgeable Assistant HR Manager to provide crucial operational support to the HR department. This role focuses heavily on recruitment expertise, training coordination, day-to-day HR administration, first-line employee relations, and supporting staff management within our fast-paced hospitality environment. Strong PR skills and hospitality knowledge are required.

Responsibilities: 

  • Manage the full recruitment lifecycle for all positions (hourly to supervisory), utilizing hospitality-specific sourcing strategies.
  • Develop compelling job postings, screen resumes, conduct interviews (phone, virtual, in-person), and manage the selection process.
  • Build and maintain talent pipelines and relationships with hospitality schools, agencies, and community partners.
  • Oversee and enhance the onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Assist the HR Manager in identifying training needs and developing programs.
  • Coordinate logistics for training sessions (scheduling, materials, attendance).
  • Deliver specific training modules as assigned.
  • Manage day-to-day HR operations efficiently (employee records, HRIS data entry, letters, filing).
  • Assist in implementing and communicating HR policies and procedures.
  • Support benefits administration and payroll processing liaison.
  • Act as an approachable first point of contact for employee inquiries and concerns.
  • Assist in resolving basic employee relations issues and grievances promptly and fairly, escalating complex matters to the HR Manager.
  • Help maintain positive employee morale and engagement.
  • Support department heads with basic HR guidance and administrative tasks related to their teams.
  • Assist in coordinating employee recognition and engagement activities.
  • Represent HR professionally in interactions with candidates, employees, and external contacts.
