Job Description

Job purpose

The purpose of the role is to support the delivery of the visionary work of People Management and Organizational Development division within WaterAid Nepal through specific and time bound projects and assignments. The post-holder will also assist his/her line manager in a diverse range of operational HR activities.

Core responsibilities:

  • Support People and OD Manager to conduct survey, research and analysis on a wide range of people issues. This will include HR benchmarking activities in areas such as staffing structures and costs; research into best practice approaches to HR, policy and legal developments which will impact on the way WaterAid Nepal delivers people activities.
  • Play a lead role in exploring Human Resource Information Software in the market; dealing and negotiating with software vendors; and making recommendations for procurement of the software.
  • Support recruitments by performing duties that include: placing job ads; screening incoming applications, responding to public inquiries regarding job openings; maintaining database of applicants; facilitating during assessments/interviews.
  • Coordinate new starters’ inductions and on-boarding process.
  • Ensure all people database and files (physical and electronic) are up-to-date and manage their storage, retention and purging based on established guidelines.
  • Provide full support in planning, organizing and facilitating people related programs, events, trainings and workshops.
