Term, Location & Duration:  

  • Fixed term position initially for one year based in Nepal Country Office, Kathmandu

Key Responsibilities

  • Support to Payroll Coordinator to  prepare and administer payroll system as per SCI policy guideline
  • Calculate benefits with accuracy and timely disbursed according to salary charging sheet, and update pay sheet of individual staffs.  
  • Keep record of employee's provident fund, retirement fund, TDS and other correspondents
  • Monthly reconciliation of salary, compile & prepare effort reporting.
  • Remuneration tax assessment of employees and deposit monthly tax withholding respective government agency.   
  • Update Retirement Fund Account of each employee and make available to each employee on annual basis.
  • Maintain record of consultancy, lease payment and other service agreement.
  • Manage medical insurance of all staff (make timely payment of premium, keep record of claim and reimbursement, communicate/coordinate with staff and insurance company)

Required Qualification and Competencies

  • Bachelor’s degree in Management with at least one year  of working experience and including one year of experience in payroll and taxation.
  • Good planning, organizing, coordination and monitoring skills
  • Ability to work in a complex environment with multiple tasks, short deadlines and intense pressure
  • Proficiency in MS Office and in the Nepali & English languages
