Report to:  F&B Manager / Chef

Working Hour: 48 Hours per week

Fringe Benefit:  As per AMA Policy

Duties & Responsibilities:

Cash and Till:

  • In the morning shift update the date and dollar exchange rate in the computer system.
  • Take count of the opening /closing cash balance in the counter.
  • Taking orders from the members through cash counters/pool side counter or any other outlets.
  • Kitchen food counter- take new orders, and ensure that the correct order is made by cooks and delivered to members and guests by servers
  • Making entries and generate invoices for all the cash collection details.
  • Issue daily sales report to supervisors and GM
  • Enter new menu items onto the system with correct sales pricing

Café Inventory:

  • Manage the receipting of supplies and consumption reporting
  • Maintain Store Issue Slips
  • Maintain Beverage & Snacks inventory
  • Tally consumption and sales reports

Other Duties:

  • Check & familiarize Daily Specials
  • Advice guests on the choice of food & drinks including cocktails, wine, special brands etc
  • Special events- assist with set up and other items as needed
  • Prepare drinks as per order when required to support Bar & Coffee Kiosk
  • Identify and acknowledge regular guests; know their choice and specific taste of food & beverages
  • Properly turn-over relevant information regarding specific guest’s needs and other significant incidents to senior
  • Ensure tables and stations in café areas, garden & pool area remain clean and tidy and support servers in set-up when required.
  • Provide necessary information to patrons about specific food & beverages
  • Report to the F&B Shift Manager any complaints, disputes, queries, comments from guests
  • Help in monitoring beverage consumption to ensure guests do not become too intoxicated
  • Perform other duties as requested by the management
  • Understand and carry out tasks delegated by the Manager or Supervisor

Customer Service:

  • Represent Phora Durbar in a positive, professional and courteous manner to customers and staff
  • Ensure the provision of service standards that develop and encourage repeat business
  • Respond to customer complaints and refer to managers if required.
  • Uphold the excellent grooming and presentation standards of Phora Durbar

Service Support:

  • Ensure efficient use and management of time.
  • Contribute new ideas and offer customer feedback to Supervisor.
  • Report any damaged or equipment breakdowns
  • Assist in creating and maintaining a safe working environment.
  • Support the implementation of new policies and procedures issued by Management from time to time
  • Exhibit a positive and involved team attitude to all and promote positive relations through an environment that encourages open communication, trust and mutual respect
  • Perform all assigned duties efficiently, technically correct, follows Company policies, rules and regulations, requests of Superiors, adhere to procedures and achieve a high standard leading to total guest and Company satisfaction
  • Update yourself and follow security/fire/safety procedures according to Company’s rules and regulations
  • Attend divisional/departmental meeting and training when requested.
  • Assist with other duties as determined by immediate superiors from time to time

Skills and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree level qualification with 3-5 years of work experience in a relevant field
  • Highly Competent in Microsoft Office applications, Tally ERP systems
  • Demonstrable experience in Cashier role in F&B environment
  • Experience in customer services to International clients, preferably with experience of working overseas
  • Able to direct staff to deliver efficient F&B service delivery
  • Fluency in written and vocal English language
