Job Description

We are looking for a Factory Manager who is proficient at the management of a diverse group of people and ready to make a big impact supporting women. Felt and Yarn have been providing a platform for women's empowerment with free training and support to hundreds of women from marginalized communities. And, as a Factory Manager, you have a responsibility to not only handle and monitor factory performance, production, and materials but also to listen and have the patience to groom each woman. You are someone who is a people person and can adapt to the fast-changing space. You are a cheerleader, change-maker, supporter, and trainer for hundreds of women who are part of Felt and Yarn. If you can accomplish all that while making a difference in the lives of marginalized communities, please apply.

The Role:

  • Planning and organizing production schedules
  • Motivating, supporting, and providing guidance to production staff
  • Ensuring all safety and health standards are met to keep an organization accident-free
  • Communicating regularly with upper management regarding problems or issues impacting production
  • Establishing a balance between increased productivity and reduced costs of manufacturing operations
  • Setting productivity goals for each manufacturing team
  • supervising and managing the work of junior staff
  • organizing relevant training sessions
  • determining quality control standards
  • overseeing production processes
  • Monthly report to Management

Work Hours: 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. (Including 45-minute lunch break)
