Grants Accountant: 1 position

Purpose: This position reports to Finance Manager-Grants. The position holder will be responsible for the effective Grants Approved Document filling, update grant check list and monitor timeliness of report to National Office/donors by maintaining a matrix in accordance to the Global Grants Procedure.

Term and Location: 3 years fixed term employment based in Country Office, Lalitpur.

Required Qualifications and Experience

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce/ Business Management. At least two (2) years of relevant work experience in working with different grants project /grants reports. Proven experience in dealing with audit, tax related issues and foreign exchanges. Hands on experience in working with NGOs, INGOs experience a plus .English and Nepali language competencies both verbal and written 

Key responsibilities: 

  • Enter accurately all the Grants details as per Grants Approved Document in general ledger 
  • Prepare financial reports on all grant projects based on financial reporting requirements of the Grants Approved Document for review within due date 
  • Maintain Grants reporting schedule, prepare grant reports for review as per donor’s requirement by format and currency 
  • Prepare cost recovery reports and submit to Finance Manager (Grants) 
  • Maintain up to date comprehensive files for all grants including Grants Approved Documents, grants reports, communication with National Offices, changes in grants terms and conditions for audit trial 
  • Assist in preparation of annual grants budget 
  • Assist finance team on payment document review
