The Grade teacher should be a good communicator/listener and courteous, approachable,friendly in nature to maintain healthy relationship with the children and other staffs.
The grade teacher should have patience and empathy to deal with children and their needs.
The grade teacher should know how children grow, what curriculum entails and how to apply progressive education practices.

The grade teacher contributes to school's positive environment.
The grade teacher takes initiatives for student/ school development while coming with creativity and solutions.
The grade teacher meets with parents and guardians to discuss their children's progress, and to determine their priorities for their children and their resource needs.
The grade teacher provides materials and resources for children to explore, manipulate and use, both in learning activities and in imaginative play.
The grade teacher attends staff meetings when required.
