Job Description

Student Supervision:

  • Ensure the safety and well-being of students residing in the hostel.
  • Oversee dormitory activities, including bedtime routines, wake-up calls, and meal times.
  • Enforce hostel rules and regulations, maintaining discipline and order within the hostel premises.
  • Address any behavioral issues or conflicts among students in a fair and proactive manner.

Counseling and Support:

  • Provide emotional support and guidance to students, acting as a mentor and role model.
  • Offer counseling and advice on personal, academic, and social matters, fostering a supportive and nurturing environment.
  • Facilitate group discussions, workshops, or individual sessions to address student concerns and promote personal development.

Academic Assistance:

  • Assist students with their academic studies, including homework help, exam preparation, and subject-specific tutoring.
  • Monitor students' academic progress and performance, providing feedback and encouragement as needed.
  • Collaborate with teachers and academic staff to ensure that students receive appropriate academic support and guidance.

Residential Management:

  • Manage hostel facilities and resources, including dormitories, common areas, and recreational spaces.
  • Coordinate maintenance and repair activities to ensure that hostel facilities are clean, safe, and well-maintained.
  • Supervise meal arrangements, ensuring that nutritious and hygienic meals are provided to students.

Parent Communication:

  • Serve as a point of contact for parents/guardians regarding their child's well-being and academic progress.
  • Communicate regularly with parents/guardians to provide updates on hostel activities, student behavior, and any concerns or issues that may arise.

Emergency Response:

  • Be prepared to respond to emergencies, such as medical incidents, natural disasters, or security threats, ensuring the safety and security of students at all times.
  • Implement emergency protocols and procedures, including evacuation plans and first-aid measures, in accordance with school policies and regulations.

Documentation and Reporting:

  • Maintain accurate records of student attendance, behavior incidents, and academic performance.
  • Prepare reports, logs, and other documentation related to hostel operations and student welfare activities.
