Sneha’s Care is one of the largest leading animal welfare charities in Nepal. Since its inception in 2014, animal advocate Ms. Sneha Shrestha and the team has been working to protect, and rescue the street animals and community dogs from torture, cruelty, or any form of abuse. And, treat the severely injured furry friends and street animals and shelter them until their recovery. Sneha’s Care has managed a full-time veterinary doctor and the staff to provide professional medical and humane care to the injured, sick, and abandoned dogs and other street animals in its animal shelter and also in the spot, through mobile treatment. Recently, Sneha’s Care is operating the animal sanctuary where numbers of cows, pigs, and buffaloes are rescued and looked after.

We firmly believe that in the actions of individuals, businesses, and governments, all forms of animal exploitation including factory farming should not be acted. Sneha’s Care is continuously campaigning and attempting to introduce animal welfare law in Nepal for improved safeguards for animals and penalties for animal abuse and cruelty. We are also actively spreading animal welfare awareness on a national scale and educating the public to be compassionate to all non-humans.

Job Description

Qualifications:

Bachelors Degree in Communication, Marketing, Business Studies and related subjects with minimum 01 year of experience in fundraising campaigns.

The Fundraising Officer together with the team, acquire once-off supporters and convert them to regular supporters – ensuring sustainable income to support our campaigns and projects at Sneha’s Care. The position is responsible for managing the recurring donors and community fundraising portfolios; this role builds on an already strong foundation with committed and engaged donors. As the fundraising officer, you will manage various fundraising initiatives at the Sneha’s Care. While the work is challenging, your efforts will make a difference in the lives of animals.

Sneha’s Care programs are centric to animal welfare theme and is working on Dog Population management, Farm Animal Welfare, Humane Education and Veganism promotion, and other various programs that supports animal welfare principles.

Reporting to:

All the reporting of the work shall be done to the Executive Director of an Organization in close coordination with other team members.

Roles and Responsibilities:

The main duty and responsibilities are:

Creating content and executing targeted fundraising, lead generation and conversion campaigns on social media and other online advertising platforms and ensuring the highest possible ROI
Prepare and design a e-newsletter ensuring all activities are covered for public dissemination
Prepare a dog profile in coordination with Shelter Staffs and ensure it is updated.
Liaise with individual donors for the adoption of shelter animals and communicate them with updates about adopted animals
Develop a fundraising tools and mechanism that involves social media for regular donations.
Collaborate with corporates, student groups and individuals for various fundraising initiatives
Collaborating to upgrade existing gifts, reactivating lapsed donors and upgrading once-off donors into regular giving donors through segmented e-mail and telemarketing campaigns, ensuring communication is targeted, effective and relevant
Regular knowledge and tactics sharing with the communications department to stay up to date of social media and fundraising market trends
Preparing a fundraising materials for the Campaigns
