About the job

As a Food and Beverage Attendant, your primary responsibility is to provide excellent customer service in dining establishments such as restaurants, cafes, bars, or hotels. You'll play a crucial role in ensuring guests have a positive and memorable experience.

Key Responsibilities:

Customer Service:

Greet customers warmly and assist them in making menu choices.
Take orders accurately and efficiently.
Serve food and beverages promptly and courteously.
Anticipate customer needs and address any concerns or special requests.

Food and Beverage Preparation:

Prepare and serve drinks, including coffee, tea, and alcoholic beverages.
Assist with food preparation, such as assembling salads, appetizers, or desserts.
Ensure presentation standards for all dishes and beverages are met.

Maintaining Cleanliness:

Keep dining areas clean and organized, including clearing tables and sanitizing surfaces.
Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in food service areas and equipment.
Assist in dishwashing and cleaning tasks as needed.

Compliance and Safety:

Follow health and safety guidelines and food handling procedures.
Adhere to responsible alcohol service policies.
Report any safety hazards, incidents, or maintenance issues to management.

Teamwork:

Collaborate with kitchen staff, bartenders, and other team members to ensure smooth operations.
Communicate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Support other team members during busy periods or when needed.

Requirements:

Previous experience in a similar role preferred but not essential.
Excellent customer service and communication skills.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
Basic knowledge of food and beverage preparation and service.
Attention to detail and a positive attitude.
Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays.
