Desired Qualifications:

  • Qualified or semi-qualified CA or ACCA.
  • At least five (5) years of professional experience in accounting and financial management.
  • Experience working in a construction company will be a plus point.
  • Experience in petty cash management, financial reporting, and budget tracking. 
  • Experience in inventory management and procurement is desirable.
  • A self-starter that can perform under pressure.
  • A strong command of financial software and other computer applications such as Microsoft Word, Excel, etc.
  • Ability and willingness to work in a team-oriented environment with excellent interpersonal, organizational, and mentoring skills.

Job Description

Specific duties and responsibilities include the following:

Finance and Accounting: 

  • Verify all invoices and supporting documents to ensure that they are accurate, legitimate, and related to construction expenditures.
  • Prepare payment vouchers and corresponding banking transactions. 
  • Ensure books of accounts are up to date, orderly, well kept, and readily available for reference and audit as required.
  • Record expenditures, income, and other related transactions into accounting software (Tally).
  • Check petty cash payments and periodically reconcile petty cash balances.
  • Prepare monthly bank reconciliations.
  • Ensure collection of VAT invoices from all parties.
  • Should be able to do market research from various vendors for the materials and should be able to handle procurement.
  • Visit the site frequently to overview account records and collect the bills to ensure proper accounting.
  • Analyze Expenditure Vs. Budget 
  • Develop and implement an inventory management system. 
  • Analyze per unit cost and profitability.
  • Supervise and guide Administrative Assistant. 
  • Safeguarding organizational assets through security procedures and continuous accounts reconciliation.
  • Assist in the implementation of internal control systems and financial procedures of the company.
  • Maintain confidentiality of financial and other sensitive information.
