Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a qualified CA / Accountant to manage the company’s accounting and finance functions, ensure compliance with statutory requirements, and provide accurate financial reporting. The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in accounting standards, taxation, and internal controls, while supporting management in financial decision-making.

Key Responsibilities:

Financial Reporting & Compliance

Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements
Ensure compliance with NFRS / IFRS standards
Finalize Trial Balance, P&L, Balance Sheet, Cash Flow
Coordinate with external auditors

Taxation & Regulatory

VAT, TDS, Income Tax return preparation and filing
Handle tax assessments and government correspondence
Ensure compliance with Inland Revenue Department regulations

Budgeting & Financial Planning

Prepare annual budgets and financial forecasts
Cost control and variance analysis
Cash flow planning and working capital management

Audit & Internal Control

Establish and monitor internal financial controls
Conduct internal audit reviews
Risk assessment and financial process improvement

Accounting Operations

Supervise accounting entries and ledger scrutiny
Bank reconciliation
Accounts payable & receivable monitoring

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Professional Certification

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Educational Qualification

Qualified CA from ICAN / ICAI or an equivalent recognized body or
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
Valid membership certificate

Experience Requirements

Minimum 2 years post-qualification experience as a CA preferred or 3–5 years of relevant accounting experience
Experience in VAT, TDS, Income Tax, and financial reporting
Prior experience in audit firm or corporate environment preferred

Technical Competencies

Strong knowledge of NFRS / IFRS standards
Good understanding of Nepal tax laws (VAT, TDS, Income Tax Act)
Proficiency in accounting software (Tally, Busy, ERP systems)
Advanced MS Excel (Pivot Table, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, financial analysis)
Financial statement preparation and analysis
