Job Description

Accounts & Finance Officer will play a key role in the Accounting and Finance of the office by undertaking overall accounting and financial responsibilities coordinating with the Senior Management and Financial Consultants/Internal Auditors.

The position reports directly to the Chief Executive Officer.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform accounts related duties implementing the Financial Manual and all policies and procedures contained therein
  • Responsible for weekly bank deposit and collection report
  • Handling Payroll Management duties, expenses and VAT & Taxes
  • Prepare Cheques reconciliation and requisition for the suppliers and clients’ payment
  • Handle cash and bank transactions and other correspondence with banks
  • Ensure that salaries are paid by the due date
  • Handle Petty Cash adhered to the Financial Manual
  • Handle Accounting Software Tally provided by the office with full competency
  • Perform physical asset verification semi-annually with proper coding
  • Ensure timely payment mechanism to the suppliers and service providers as per rules and package of service providers. Ensure that calculations are correct and that payments are coded to the correct account
  • Maintain Primary and secondary books of accounts written up properly, without errors and reconciled and accurate files are maintained
  • Assist preparing monthly financial statement in accordance with GAAP (Generally
  • Accepted Accounting Principles) and as specified in the Financial Manual
  • Identify and assist the Senior Management with the resolution of any accounting and or control issues
  • Assist Internal Auditors and Senior Management in need in Financial Matters
  • Perform other duties as assigned by the management
  • Prepare Balance Sheets
  • Producing Financial forecasts
  • Assist in the preparation of budgets
  • Prepare Monthly, Quarterly and Annual Financial Reports
  • Participate in Internal Financial Audits
  • Assist in preparing and implementing Financial Policies in decent practice
  • Collect information, perform research & analyze assets, such as stocks, bonds, currencies, commodities, real estate sectors, prospective projects and other equity investments.
  • Meet with project developers, partners, financial institutions and consultants on matters related to the performance and risk reviews of projects and investments.
  • Present the research and analysis to the CEO before final recommendations and investment decisions are made collaborating and giving presentations and sharing factual information
