Job Description

Responsible to: Head of Finance

Job Purpose:

  • To Maintain the updated records of the Financial Transactions.
Key Tasks:

  • In this position, the employee is expected to work independently and also take specific instructions from the Principal in order to support the efficient and effective performance of all financial matters.
  • In order to relate the financial accounts, the Finance Officer is expected to be in a position to give advice to the Head of Finance on all ongoing financial matters. Prevalent fiscal policies and other information which may affect the accounts department of the school will be the responsibility of the Finance Officer.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Maintain accurate records for all daily transactions
  • Assist in Preparing Financial Statement
  • Process Termly Fee invoices to the parents
  • Process other invoices as required
  • Record accounts payable and accounts receivable
  • Update internal systems with financial data
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports
  • Reconcile bank statements
  • Participate in financial audits
  • Track bank deposits and payments
  • Assist with budget preparation
  • Review and implement financial policies
  • Comply with the legal rules and regulation such as IRD
  • Assist Head of Finance on other days to day works
