Job Location: National Office, Lalitpur

Primary Function: Lead and manage the financial management system of CarNetNepal.

Duration: 3 years (6 months’ probation) with possibility of extension

Minimum qualification and experience required

  • Detailed knowledge of Government of Nepal accounting requirements, government law on taxation, auditing standards
  • ACCA /Bachelor’s/ Master's Degree in Management preferred Account & Finance with 3-5 years of relevant professional work experience
  • Excellent communication skill (verbal and written in English and Nepali)
  • Proficient in computer skills (preferred expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and in creating charts or graphs)
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.
  • Build and maintains an effective relationship with team, colleagues and members
  • Knowledge and excellent working skill on Excel and accounting software
  • Able to forecast budget, maintain cash flow, financial planning and strategy, vision, quality management, promoting and process, develop budget and having financial crisis management skills
  • Able to integrate CarNetNepal values with the specific job s/he performs.
  • Have positive learning attitude and concern for the poor and vulnerable children and family 
  • Have high level of integrity and honesty, self-motivated, confident, and independent

Key Responsibilities

  • Ensure all the government processes including approvals and reports especially in school building construction are followed
  • Prepare project monthly, quarterly and annual operational plans for project team and get approvals from the Executive Director
  • Track plan vs budget
  • Ensure that CarNetNepal’s financial and personnel policies, procurement policies and child protection policies are incorporated while project implementation
  • To develop and establish financial strategies by forecasting capital, facilities, and staff requirements; identifying monetary resources; developing action plans.
  • To be able to coach and mentor the subordinates.
  • Amend project activities, indicators and budget as per requirement and get them approved from donor office before actual implementation
  • Organize project staff team meeting as and when required
  • Organize meeting with district and national line agencies, donor and CarNetNepal’s leadership team as and when required
