• Preparation of budget, revision of budget collectively with Programme Officers and different section heads 
• Supervision of Finance Section and preparation of financial statements
• Ensure that the transactions are properly recorded and entered in the computerized accounting system, Tally.
• Preparation of financial reports of UNHCR and other donors and submit to them.
• Monitor and control current expenditure to ensure that it stays within available funding and agreed budgets. Highlight, as appropriate, under/ over spends and suggest actions required to relevant project staff. 
• Maintain and improve appropriate system of internal control. Give adequate support and training to all staff, partner organizations on financial controls and system in place to mitigate current and potential risks (Financial and compliance related). 
• Provide financial inputs for proposal development, project management, human resource management policies, logistics, travel and other areas of administration.
• Correspond with Head Office, NGO partners, other institutions and Government Offices regarding accounting matters.
