Job Description

Project: Improving ECD through Active Participation of Older Guardians in Nepal

  • Overall responsible for project financial management, with regular support to project coordinator and other project staff, in full adherence with donor compliances on finance and HR management
  • Conduct regular finance overview of the project, including variance analysis to track project spending in line with stated activities and goals
  • Prepare budget and financial projection for project proposals as and when requested by Program Department;
  • Maintenance of timely and accurate books of account (in accounting software & hardcopy); ensuring that accounting systems are maintained in accordance with organizational policies and procedures, with Government and International Accounting Standards
  • Arrangement of Institutional and Project Audit as per requirement
  • Coordination on preparation of management response in the queries and remarks pointed out by the auditors of different projects
  • Maintain income and expense records
  • Maintain Bank Account with Reconciliation
  • Prepare monthly requisition and submit to the management prior to disbursement
  • Communicate with district and other concerned authorities to collect financial information and reports.
  • Prepare Regional and district requirements based on annual organizational plan
  • Make financial arrangement for meetings, trainings and workshops
  • Prepare voucher, ensure proper budget coding write payment voucher and submit for approval Provide support to program team as and when required and to work as per the need of the program.
  • Liaise with Government and other agencies for registration, tax and other license renewals
  • Implementation & follow up of the decisions made by Financial Management Committee (FMC).

Duration – 22 months 

Salary will be as per the rules of the organization.
