National Campaign for Education Nepal, a national level coalition of more than 490 national and grassroots level organizations, is implementing: Civil Society Participation in Education (COPE) Project. It is funded by the European Commission (through a consortium led by National Campaign for Education Nepal and partners includes Global Action Nepal (GAN) and Nepal Disabled Women Association (NDWA). The main objective of this project is to unite various stakeholders in addressing issues related to accountability and governance within the education sector. The project is to be implemented in Dhanusha, Siraha and Rautahat districts of Madesh province and Dailekh, Kalikot, Surkhet districts of Karnali province.

Job Description

  • Review and implement financial policies and procedures in compliance with organizational guidelines and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate and up to date financial records using accounting software
  • Prepare and monitor budgets in coordination with relevant department
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly and annually financial reports
  • Prepare all payments, receipt and transfer vouchers on time Maintain Personal account in proper order
  • Preparation of payroll and voucher and ensure correct deduction of Retirement Fund, personal expenses and advances if any
  • Arrange for timely payment of bills and invoices with appropriate authorization.
  • Supervise and provide technical guidance to staff involved in all phases of the work.
  • Administer the financial information (i.e. vouchers, contracts, agreement)
  • Oversee the administrative functions of the organization including office management, procurement and logistic
  • Review and implement administrative policies and procedures to ensure efficient operations

Qualification, Skills and knowledge:

  • Bachelor degree in accounting , financing and related subject
  • Minimum 3 years of relevant experience in accounting finance and accounting, human resources, administrative and office management in donor funded development projects or related field preferable in a CSOs
  • Proficient in accounting software and MS office especially excel
  • Sound understanding of financial regulations and reporting standards
  • Excellent organization and communication skill
