Role Purpose
The Finance Monitoring Officer is responsible for providing day-to-day financial and administrative support to the Sabal Kathmandu Office. S/he will be managing finance operations at Kathmandu Office and conduct monitoring & supporting visits to Sabal district offices & partner organisations to ensure that the USAID compliances are met. The position also requires preparing of periodic financial reports, reviewing financial reports, preparing vouchers/payments, posting of financial data in accounting system; and supporting administrative & logistic management. S/he will be closely working with Programme and Operations team in Kathmandu.
Term and Location: Fixed term position based in Kathmandu with frequent field visits
Required Qualification: Bachelor's degree in Commerce, Business Administration or Studies (B.Com, BBA or BBS) with at least 3 years of experience in accounting/financial management & monitoring and general administration at I/NGOs
Key Areas of Accountability
1. Conduct monitoring & support visits to District Offices and Partner Organisations
2. Day-to-day finance functions including financial reporting
3.Internal control, compliances and audits
Knowledge, Skills and Experience
For all the positions, priority will be given to the applicants with prior experience in USAID funded projects. For the field based positions, applicants are requested to mention their preferred working district(s) in the cover letter.
