Job Description

Roles and responsibilities of this job

A Finance Head oversees a company’s financial health, specializing in property investments, development projects, and portfolio management. Key duties include financial modeling, cash flow forecasting, budget preparation, debt management, and ensuring compliance with tax and statutory regulations. They work closely with investors and developers, using software like Yardi for reporting.

Core Responsibilities

Financial Analysis & Modeling: Evaluate potential real estate investments, developments, and acquisitions for financial viability and risk.
Budgeting & Forecasting: Create, monitor, and manage annual budgets and forecasts.
Cash Flow & Treasury Management: Monitor cash reserves, manage liquidity, and ensure efficient working capital management.
Reporting & Compliance: Prepare accurate and timely financial reports (income statements, balance sheets) and ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
Asset Management: Reconcile tenancy schedules, review property metrics, and monitor tenant collections.
Fund Management: Handle fund NAV (Net Asset Value) calculations, fee calculations, and capital calls.

Key Skills & Qualifications

Experience: Proven experience in real estate, property accounting, or fund accounting.
Technical Proficiency: Strong knowledge of accounting software (e.g., Yardi, Excel) and financial modeling.
Industry Knowledge: Understanding of REITs, joint ventures, and tax structures.
Communication: Ability to work with investors, lenders, and internal teams.

Typical Requirements

Master's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Real Estate.
Semi-qualified CA (Chartered Accountancy) candidates are highly encouraged to apply.
Strong leadership capabilities and analytical skills.

Working Hours: 9:30 AM - 5:30 PM
