  • Ability to work independently; excellent oral and written English skills required; knowledge of at least one accounting software such as TALLY; sound knowledge of Accounting  and Finance principles, and a strong team player. Knowledge of USAID regulations will be an asset.

Job Description

  • Finance Associate (FA) will work closely with Senior Officer – Accounts and Grants to maintain the Country Office accounting system in accordance with FHI agreement financial control policies and procedures. FA will verify voucher/invoices submitted to FHI Nepal and will prepare general vouchers and checks for payments. FA will maintain all office and project financial accounts including accounts payable, checking accounts, consultant contracts and travel expenses.  Additional responsibilities include to keep track of monthly routine bills/ invoices (e.g. telephones, electricity, etc) to ensure timely processing of payments and to be  responsible for petty cash management, tracking the VAT payment and reimbursement record of FHI Country Office as well as partner NGOs.
