Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a detail-oriented and reliable Finance Officer to support the financial operations of CREGC–COVEC Joint Venture (JV). The role involves maintaining accurate financial records, ensuring compliance with Nepal’s tax regulations, and supporting day-to-day accounting activities. The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in a structured, multinational environment and capable of coordinating between different accounting systems while ensuring accuracy, transparency, and regulatory compliance.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

Maintain accurate bookkeeping in compliance with the Income Tax Act of Nepal (Tally software in use)
Ensure proper handling of VAT, TDS, and Excise requirements
Manage voucher recording and documentation, including:

Journal Vouchers
Purchase Vouchers
Payment Vouchers
Contra Entries

Perform bank reconciliation and maintain updated financial records
Handle bank-related transactions and coordination
Facilitate coordination between Chinese accounting practices and Nepali accounting systems, especially for vendor verification and checks
Support audit processes and ensure proper documentation for compliance
Assist in maintaining financial discipline and adherence to company policies

Job Specification

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Bachelor’s level preferred in Accounting/Finance
Minimum 1-2 years of prior experience in a similar role
Familiarity with Accounting Software (Tally) and MS Office (Excel, Word)
Strong understanding of Nepal tax regulations and compliance standards
Ability to support accounting functions and coordinate with audit teams
Willingness to travel for site visits and official meetings
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and multitasking ability
Ability to work in a structured, policy-driven, and disciplined environment
