Conscious Society for Social Development (CSSD) is a non- political, non-partisan, profitless secular local level human welfare non- governmental organization. It was founded in 2000 AD. From the time of its establishment, CSSD has undertaken various projects in some of the remotest parts of Kailali district. In particular, CSSD has a lot of experiences on disaster risk reduction, preparedness, and response (disaster management), education, child protection and advocacy, livelihood and nutrition. 

Conscious Society for Social Development (CSSD) in partnership with World Vision International Nepal is implementing Household Disaster Preparedness Project (HDPP) with the support of USAID TAYAR funding. The project major focus is on  enhancing the capacity of the individual households and communities for better disaster preparedness and response along with preparing the HHs level disaster preparedness and response plan after an extensive vulnerability assessment carried out at each HH of the targeted community followed by community, ward and of local level. CSSD Nepal is seeking qualified, dynamic and motivated Nepali citizens on following position for smooth implementation of the project with potential candidate.

Job Description

Overall Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for making payments in cash and bank to all vendors, suppliers, consultants 
  • To keep track of all financial records, both in relation to petty cash and other regular expenses and make accounting entries in the computerized system 
  • Handling petty cash and making monthly reconciliation
  • To handle TDS and other financial compliances with concerned departments of government as well as concerned agencies 
  • Reconciliation of staff advances and making necessary entries
  • To manage employee files and other files and records in order to ensure accurate payment of benefits and allowances
  • Review of personnel records like; staff contracts, leave reports, training, time sheet, travelling documents etc. 
  • To handle procurement of goods and service. 
  • Financial reporting to donor and stakeholders.
  • Day to day Administration management. 

Minimum Qualification and Experience required:

  • Minimum intermediate level with 2 year experience or Bachelor’s Degree with 1 year experience. 
  • Experience working with an I/NGOs 
  • Good in English & Nepali languages written and spoken
  • Be familiar with institutional donor financial requirements, 
  • Good working knowledge in Microsoft Office Package (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Internet and Email) 
  • Familiar with busy working environment, handling with pressure of works and meet the deadlines
  • Ability and experience in working with accounting software will be preferred.
