Job Description

The Field Coordinator will assist in the effective programme implementation of Sakchyam from the field. He/She will provide support to component leads in achieving overarching objectives of Sakchyam Programme. The components are responsible to deliver performance based partnering program incorporating technical assistance that develops and supports new financial products, services and delivery channels etc. in underserved market segments, especially of the Far Western and Mid-Western Development Regions. Reporting to Programme Support Team, the incumbent will work closely different components of the Programme.

Duties of this Position:

  • Support the Component to ensure timely delivery of project activities of all partners
  • Carryout on- site and off -site monitoring of the partnership
  • Follow up with partners to ensure they submit required reports/ updates on time

Assist the Component in:

  • Developing partnership with potential Financial Institutions and other potential institutions
  • Launching new partnership
  • Undertaking scoping study/research for new financial products and services
  • Completing monthly deliverable
  • Executing other day to day activities

Qualifications and Experience:

Following qualifications and experience are required for this position:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Business Management/ Financial Management, Economics or related discipline
  • More than 2 years of work experience in related field. Working Experience in donor funded programmes on financial access will be an added advantage
  • Basic understanding of evolving alternative delivery channels
  • Basic understanding of value chain financing products; including agricultural loans tailored for the rural poor in remote areas
  • Excellent communication skills in English and Nepali, both in writing and speaking
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to work effectively within a team
  • Ability to work on tight deadlines
  • Willingness to travel on short notice

Package: Attractive remuneration package, commensurate to experience and qualifications will be offered to the right candidate. The position is likely for up-to 3 years and is to be renewed on an annual basis, based on performance.
