Job Description

This position is responsible for the Provincial and Palika level intervention of the project “Strengthening gender-responsive planning and program implementation”. The primary responsibility for field coordinators are planning, implementation, monitoring and reporting ensuring qualitative and quantitative indicators of inputs, outputs and outcomes of the project. The field coordinator will also support project team providing necessary information, with quality documentation of the results. 

Responsibilities:

  • Implementation of designed project activities and events at Palikas and Province level
  • Communication and coordination with Schools, Focal teachers, Stakeholders, Palikas, Provinces and other government agencies as per the requirement of Project
  • Provide technical support to province GIEN, Palikas, Schools on CRM, GESI and GIE Networking
  • Data collection and documentation of project activities and collection/documentation of supportive documents of the project initiatives
  • Support other project staffs to implement project effectively at different levels of the Province.
  • Follow up of the activities initiated and ensure quality monitoring, develop timely monitoring report
  • Coordinate and organize meetings with GIEN, MPs, Palikas and Provincial Government agencies 
  • Coordinate with other agencies/organizations, GIEN, MPs and other stakeholders for enhancing the partnership and collaboration to achieve project goal
  • Capture the lesson learnt, best practices and success stories of the project
  • Prepare monthly, quarterly, semi-annual and annual project implementation schedule and action plan
  • Report to the project officer at Centre regularly including documentating project achievements and challenges. 
  • Based at Province with frequents visit to Provinces, different Palikas and Schools.

Qualification, Skills and Knowledge:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Education, Social Sciences, Public Administration, Mass communication and Journalism, Development Studies, Gender & Development, Management, Statistics or any relevant field with minimum one years of experience of any relevant field level activities 
  • Technical skills in preparing report, analysis the facts and knowledge on excel and other tools
  • Sound knowledge on rights to education, child rights and issues of GESI
  • Good skills on networking, coordination, communication, management, advocacy and campaigning.
  • Good interpersonal skills to deal with the stakeholders and capability and willingness to work under the pressures and multiple deadlines
  • Knowledge of girls’ education, child protection, gender equity and social inclusion.
  • Proficiency in local languages can be of significant advantage, along with fluency in English.
  • Adaptibility to work on challenging and changing environment.

Age Limit: Candidates between 21 years to 50 years are only eligible to apply for the above position, depending upon the nature of job they will carry.

Languages: Strong command of Nepali, English (oral and written) and local language preferred. 

No of Requirements: Madhesh Province -1, Lumbini Province -1, Karnali Province -1 and Sudurpashchim Province-1)

Duration: The position is for 21 months.
