Position Overview

Sunsar Maya is seeking a passionate and experienced Facilitator to lead STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Arts, and Mathematics) training sessions for government teachers across Nepal. The role requires extensive travel to different regions, conducting interactive workshops, observing classrooms, and providing follow-up coaching and support. The ideal candidate will have a background in teaching or training, excellent communication skills, flexibility, and a commitment to Sunsar Maya’s mission and values.

Key Responsibilities

Training & Facilitation

Deliver engaging, hands-on STEAM workshops for government teachers.
Adapt training methodologies to suit diverse learning needs and classroom environments.
Foster a collaborative and inclusive learning atmosphere that empowers teachers.
Follow-Up Support & Classroom Observations
Conduct regular school visits to observe teachers implementing STEAM concepts.
Provide constructive feedback and mentorship to teachers.
Gather and document success stories, challenges, and recommendations for improvement.

Program Coordination & Communication

Maintain clear and professional communication with teachers, school administrators, and Sunsar Maya staff.
Document training sessions, attendance, and feedback for reporting and program evaluation.
Collaborate with the team to continuously refine and enhance training content.
Travel & Logistics
Travel extensively across Nepal, sometimes to remote areas, with flexibility and adaptability.
Coordinate with local schools and partners to schedule and organize training sessions.
Ensure training materials and resources are effectively distributed.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Graduate (Masters)

Required Experience:More than 2 years

Other Specification

Education & Experience: Minimum of 2+ years of teaching or training experience, preferably in STEAM subjects with a science background
Facilitation Skills: Strong ability to engage adult learners and encourage participation.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Nepali and English.
Flexibility & Adaptability: Comfortable with frequent travel, adjusting to different environments, and problem-solving in dynamic settings.
Values-Driven: Passionate about Sunsar Maya’s mission and committed to educational equity.
Tech-Savvy: Comfortable using digital tools for training, documentation, and communication.

Preferred Qualification

Master's degree in education, pedagogy is highly preferred.
Experience working with government schools or in rural education initiatives.
Familiarity with interactive and inquiry-based teaching methods.
Prior experience with classroom observation and teacher coaching.
