Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Officer

Kang Hydropower Company Limited is a leading hydropower development company engaged in the construction of major hydropower projects in Nepal. We are seeking a qualified and motivated Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) Officer to join our team at the Upper Maiwa Khola Hydropower Project(17.85 MW).

The selected candidate will be responsible for implementing EHS systems, coordinating with local authorities, and supporting environmental and social welfare development activities, including compliance with EIA/IEE requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Implement and monitor Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) policies and procedures. 
• Ensure compliance with national regulations and project EHS standards. 
• Conduct regular site inspections, risk assessments, and safety audits. 
• Prepare and maintain EHS reports and documentation. 
• Conduct safety training, toolbox talks, and awareness programs. 
• Monitor waste management, pollution control, and environmental mitigation measures. 
• Investigate incidents/accidents and recommend corrective actions. 
• Coordinate with local authorities and communities on EHS and social welfare development matters.
