Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a qualified, motivated, and self-driven Electrical Overseer / Sub-Overseer to join our hydropower technical team. The incumbent will be responsible for the operation, monitoring, and maintenance of electrical systems and equipment to ensure the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of the hydropower plant.

Key Responsibilities

Monitor and maintain electrical systems, control panels, generators, transformers, switchyard equipment, and associated electrical components.
Assist in the operation and maintenance of generators, transformers, switchyards, and electrical distribution systems.
Carry out preventive and corrective maintenance activities to ensure uninterrupted plant operation and optimum generation availability.
Inspect, troubleshoot, and rectify electrical faults and system abnormalities in a timely manner.
Ensure compliance with electrical safety standards, operational procedures, and company policies.
Support testing, inspection, shutdown, and commissioning activities of electrical equipment and systems.
Maintain operational records, maintenance logs, and technical documentation related to plant electrical systems.
Coordinate with technical teams to ensure smooth and efficient powerhouse operation.
Assist in emergency restoration and fault recovery activities when required.

Required Education Level:Diploma Certificate

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Diploma in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent) or Technical SLC in relevant subject (or equivalent).
Experienced Professionals: Candidates with prior experience in hydropower projects or heavy industries will be given high preference. Your proven track record will help lead our technical operations.
Fresh Grads / Entry-Level: Freshers are highly encouraged to apply! If you have strong academic fundamentals, a willingness to learn, and a passion for hydropower, we will match you to roles aligned with your specific expertise and interests.

Requirements

Sound technical knowledge in the respective field.
Familiarity with safety protocols and standard operating procedures of a powerhouse/site.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Selected candidates have to work at hydropower plant sites as per company requirements (Company provides the site accommodation).
