Roles and responsibilities of this job

We are seeking a dynamic, self-motivated, and qualified Electrical Engineer to support the Plant Manager in the safe, reliable, and efficient operation and maintenance of the hydropower plant. The position is responsible for assisting in plant operation management, maintenance coordination, manpower supervision, compliance monitoring, and ensuring optimum plant availability and power generation in accordance with company policies, grid requirements, and statutory regulations.

Key Responsibilities

Support the Plant Manager in the day-to-day operation and maintenance of the hydropower plant.
Monitor and maintain electrical systems, control panels, switchyards, generators, and transformers to ensure safe and efficient plant operation.
Assist in the operation, inspection, troubleshooting, and maintenance of generators, transformers, switchyard equipment, and associated electrical systems.
Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities to minimize downtime and maximize generation availability.
Ensure compliance with company policies, safety standards, grid codes, and statutory regulations.
Supervise and coordinate technical manpower and contractors during operation and maintenance activities.
Maintain operational records, maintenance logs, reports, and technical documentation.
Support fault analysis, root cause investigation, and implementation of corrective actions for electrical system issues.
Assist in emergency response and restoration activities during plant outages or system failures.
Promote a strong safety culture and ensure adherence to occupational health and safety procedures.

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 1 year

Other Specification

Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent from a recognized institution.
Experienced Professionals: Candidates with prior experience in hydropower projects or heavy industries will be given high preference. Your proven track record will help lead our technical operations.
Fresh Grads / Entry-Level: Freshers are highly encouraged to apply! If you have strong academic fundamentals, a willingness to learn, and a passion for hydropower, we will match you to roles aligned with your specific expertise and interests.

Requirements

Sound technical knowledge in the respective field.
Familiarity with safety protocols and standard operating procedures of a powerhouse/site.
Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
Selected candidates have to work at hydropower plant sites as per company requirements (Company provides the site accommodation).
