Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Engineering Management Officer / Manager to support the planning, coordination, and supervision of hydropower engineering activities. The role involves assisting in design management, construction monitoring, and quality control while ensuring compliance with engineering standards and project requirements. The ideal candidate will have strong technical understanding, organizational skills, and the ability to work effectively in a remote project environment.

Key Responsibilities

Assist in project design management.
Assist in the review of design drawings, track the progress of design and construction, and oversee quality control at the site and related work.
Assist in the daily management and record-keeping of design documents, materials, design changes, and drawings.
Participate in the preliminary review of the overall construction schedule and sub-project schedules formulated by the contractor; assist in drafting and preparing the company's annual engineering plan.
Participate in inspecting and supervising the implementation of the project construction schedule.
Assist in compiling, collecting, organizing, and archiving relevant engineering materials.
Assist in effectively monitoring and managing key quality control points on the project site.
Participate in coordinating and resolving quality issues on-site.
Participate in the preliminary review of engineering settlement documents.
Coordinate with relevant departments to conduct quantity calculations for payments related to engineering, materials and equipment, and engineering consulting based on contracts.
Coordinate with relevant departments to implement quality, schedule, and cost control based on contracts, assist in handling contract changes and claims, and fulfill the obligations of the employer as stipulated in the contract terms.

Required qualifications for this job

Required Education Level:Under Graduate (Bachelor)

Required Experience:More than 3 years

Other Specification

Hold a bachelor's degree or above in Water Conservancy and Hydropower Engineering or related fields, with at least 3 years of experience in hydropower engineering management.
Have good English language skills, with preference given to those who can use Chinese as their working language.
Possess a basic understanding of engineering management in Nepal’s hydropower industry, including technical management, design review, and engineering documentation management.
Possess the psychological, physical, and family conditions to reside permanently in Manang, where the project is located.

Skills required:

Good communication skills.
Be familiar with the relevant engineering standards and policies of the hydropower industry in Nepal.
Proficiency in MS Word and Excel.
Good English writing ability.
