Emergency Shelter Coordinator (4 Positions)

The incumbent will contribute towards the effective provision of emergency shelter assistance to the affected population through the timely and efficient implementation of Plan’s emergency shelter response project. She/He will ensure rapid provision of basic shelter relief assistance to affected households on a large scale in line with project requirements. She/He will ensure consistency in the type of shelter assistance in accordance with standards set by Shelter Cluster. Coordination with other agencies and the district level Government authority will be essential.

 

Qualifications: Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering or related field; At least three (3) years of working experience in a related field. Strong leadership and team working skills, interpersonal skills, technology savvy, and excellent written and oral communication skills preferred. Strong character traits are essential, including emotional stability, adaptability, and ability to handle stress, strong initiative and self-motivation, cultural and gender sensitivity, honesty and physical fitness to travel. Experience of working in grants funded project and working with partner are preferable. Fluency in English is essential and local languages are desirable.

Term and Location:  This position is initially upto 31st October, 2015 and are extendable based on organization’s needs. The position is based on Sindhupalchok/ Dolakha/ Makwanpur/ Sindhuli.
