Emergency Response Logistics Manager - 1 Position

Purpose: The position holder is responsible to manage country office logistics functions to enable the Programme Units to execute its Emergency Response Programs. S/He will report Response Program Manager.

Term and Location: Fixed term employment till 31st December 2016 with possibility of extension based in Country Office, Lalitpur.

Required Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration/ Management or relevant field.
  • At least five (5) years of substantial working experience in coordination of logistics, transport, procurement, warehousing and assets management.
  • Ability to work in a high performing inter-disciplinary team, efficient and committed to complete multi tasks.
  • Professional level report writing skills.
  • Excellent standard of written and spoken English and Nepali.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oversee and manage effective procurement system in compliance of operational manual ensuring value for money.
  • Effective management of fixed assets and inventory management including risk management.
  • Develop a country procurement plan and strategy in collaboration with Logistics Coordinators and lead its implementation with guide from Operations Manager.
  • Supervise, coach and motivation to Logistics team to enhance and manage their high level performance capacities.
  • Lead the effective fleet management.
  • Deal with legal matters by developing standard framework for all service contracts according to Plan policy, and seeking legal counsel as applicable for non-staff related issues to reduce chances of litigation and loss of organisation resources.
  • Respect organizational values and comply with all Plan Nepal and Corporate Code of Conduct, Policies and Standards.
