Emergency Response Health Coordinator-1 position

Purpose: The position holder is responsible for implementing the project for effective service delivery of Maternal Newborn Child Health (MNCH) objective of Earthquake Emergency Response Project in Dolakha districts through  strengthening the capacity of both Community Clinic and Community Clinic Management Groups. S/he will ensure that interventions/activities implemented are at the best quality with the most competitive costs and they respond to nationally and globally recognized standards as well as to Plan’s own.
  The position holder will reports to Area Manager, Dolakha Area Office.

 Terms and Locations: Fixed term employment for one (1) year based in Dolakha Area Office with frequent travel to Response Area

 Required Qualifications and Experiences:

  • Master’s degree in Public Health or relevant field;
  • At least three (3) years’ relevant work experience at district and national level in health, maternal, new-born and early childhood Programme planning and management out of which at least 2 years should be at the relevant job level, preferably in INGO sector;
  • Desired professional qualification in the relevant job domain;
  • Proven experience in coordination, liaison and networking managing teams, finance and other critical management domains; and
  • Good standard of written and spoken English and Nepali.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Facilitate the development and implementation of quality MNCH Programme operational process in line with the approved project proposal and in collaboration with the local community-based organisations and the partner organisations.
  • Ensure effective monitoring, accountability and knowledge sharing to support comprehensive and quality monitoring of the programme in compliance with corporate guidelines of Plan
  • Facilitate capacity building by supporting partners, health workers and female community health volunteers in preparing orientation packages, training manuals and other resource materials.
  • Support in development and review of Health programme plans & proposals 
  • Coordinate and collaborate with various stakeholders at field level including community and government
  • Respect organizational values and comply with all Plan Nepal and Corporate Code of Conduct, Policies and Standards.
