Emergency Response Grant Finance Coordinator-1 Position

Purpose: The position holder will be responsible for the effective financial management of grants through all stages from acquisition to building awareness amongst the Emergency Response finance staff on grants fund reporting and budget monitoring to preparing accurate grants financial reports in timely manner.

Terms and Location: 1 year fixed term employment based in Country Office, Lalitpur.

Required Qualifications & Experiences:

  • Master’s Degree in Business Administration with specialization in Finance/Accounting.
  • At least three (3) years experience in the field of financial management and accounting, ideally at a national level humanitarian aid programme.
  • Demonstrated experience in developing, monitoring and reporting on multimillion dollar budgets.
  • Strong analytical & reasoning skill, team working skills and interpersonal skill
  • Good level of written and oral communication skills specially in English essential.

Key Responsibilities: 

  • Enter grant details in system after Funding Approved Document ( FAD) approval
  • Allocate grant budget as per FAD timeline and reconcile year wise budget for multiyear grant.
  • Review grant budget correctly during first stage of grant proposal and ensure appropriate operation cost and cost recovery provision within due date after proposal receipt.
  • Review grant project budget vs, actual and remind concerned for timely adjustment.
  • Review of community managed project (CMP) advance for Grant fund.
  • Prepare & review financial status on all grant projects based on financial reporting requirements of the FAD and submit within due date.
  • Review FAD documents and its compliance.
  • Make periodic field visit for review of grant project and training for report preparation when required.
  • Calculate & Maintain up to date cost recovery file correctly.
